THE LOTTO PHOTO

Last night, my good friend Randy and I had our national tv debut via the lotto draw on NBN Channel 4. Weeks and days before that we already thought of having our pictures taken with the host, the set, the lotto balls etc. just to immortalize the experience. hehehe... Well, we failed to do all those things because the people in charge seemed to be all so serious. I wasn't even able to get my camera out of my pocket for fear that someone might just yell at me and say "What the f@*k are you doing?!"
So during the break, we just settled with having our pictures taken with our Judge's IDs... so sad...

Syempre kinailangang magpa-cute pa ni Randy kahit bigo magpa-picture with the set.

When we were on our way to the parking lot, we just thought of just having our photos taken with the PCSO building as the backdrop. So, hayan si Randy trying to be cheerful and settling for this "set".

I wasn't able to have my picture taken because a car suddenly drove near us and from inside, a voice asked "Gusto n'yo kuhanan ko kayong dalawa ng picture?" To our surprise it was the lotto host, Ms. Romi Sison. Syempre we said YES! but added that we want to have our picture taken with her. Hence, the following photos...

She was really nice, friendly and accomodating.

So, in the end... hindi rin naman kami bigo...hehehe..

JAM-PACKED!

I was in a hurry early Saturday morning to get to my class. I was stuck in traffic along Commonwealth Avenue for at least 30 minutes. I knew then that I was going to be late (I hate being late.). Plus, I realized I forgot my apron (I hate not being in complete attire.) The cause of the traffic was unclear. No accidents. No road repairs. No traffic enforcers (who seem to create more traffic when they are around). Nothing. It seemed as if the drivers just decided to hang around the stretch of Fairview gate up to Commonwealth market for awhile.
That was the start of a day filled with activities...

8am to 1pm: Pastry Arts Class

Francis... pakitang gilas.

Tracy... making her masterpiece.

Walang ginawa yang si Jecca ha, pero parang pagod na pagod...

Ako pagod din, kaya pa-pic na lang with the cakes...

After class, Tracy, Jecca and I went to this Asian fusion resto at Horse Shoe Drive, KOPI TIAM. Maganda ang place at masarap food with reasonable prices and big servings. It's Tracy's regular hang out and we're glad she brought us there.

I had this: LECHON MACAU BIBIMBOP..... SARAP!

Then we went shopping at CHOCOLATE LOVER INC.

dami ingredients and equipments... nakaka-inspire... Go Negosyo!... hehehe

It was a fun "Field-trip" with my two loud and funny friends!

LATER THAT NIGHT....

We brought my niece, Maan, to the airport. She was headed for Dubai where she would be boarding a cargo ship. She will be working as a staff/crew. Here she is with Diane, her cousin, clinging dearly to her.

See you in six months Am! (shoe size ko 9, shirt size medium, waist line 31...)

Great Friend and Great Food!

This just in! I had a lunch date with my "soul-sister", Jig, at Causeway. This was a favorite after-work hang-out for us when we used to be members of the Colegio de San Lorenzo faculty. We miss the company of our friends Inas and Carl though. Just the same, we had a great time talking and feasting on our dimsum favorites.

BEEF TENDON and BEEF BRISKET NOODLE SOUP

still, for me, by far the best noodle soup there is!

CHICKEN FEET... a dimsum staple

SPARE RIBS DIMSUM... YUMMY!

DIMSUM GALORE!!!

DIMSUM HEAVEN!

We really wanted our picture taken with the food but before we knew it... the plates were already empty. Nakakahiya namang i-post na puro buto na lang ng chicken feet ang nakalagay sa plato.

Change location... Burger King for coffee, free wifi and more stories, gossips and what not. I really had a great time with one truly great friend.

MID-WEEK FASHION ADVENTURE

I texted my designer-friend, Jeffrey Rogador, yesterday morning to ask him about the tickets he reserved for me for this year's Philippine Fashion week, slated next Wednesday at the SMX, Mall of Asia. Hours later, I was picked up by him at the office and he took me to the models fitting session at the said venue. I was met with a plethora of gorgeous faces. Some well known in the fashion scene, some not so much but show potentials. I was lucky to get a photo op with a few popular ones...

Me with FORD International Supermodel
CHARO RONQUILLO

with Survivor Philippines Cast-Away/Folded and Hung Model JOHN LOPEZ

with one of the country's top male models,

RAM SAGAD

It was really a welcome mid-week surprise. Thanks Jepoy! From the line-up of clothes that I have seen (which I purposely didn't post here so as not to pre-empt your show), I am sure that you will be again the toast of the fashion scene. Good luck!

(PS: Standing next to these models, with my rounded double-chinned face, it made me think about hitting the gym again.... sigh...)

ME, MARTIN JICKAIN and MICKEY MOUSE

I saw Martin Jickain as I was driving down ISCAHM's parking lot. The first thing that crossed my mind was: PHOTO OP! hehehe...
So, (3 hours later) yan na yun.

He is actually friendly and good-natured. So now, I'm officially a schoolmate of a model/celeb... and I have the photos to prove it. HAH!

(NOTE: At the end of this blog entry there is a link to my mediafire account where you can download Disney's 2009 calendar (word format and ready for printing)-- which explains MICKEY MOUSE... get it?)
